Feelory privacy

Feelory is coming soon. This policy describes how Feelory handles your information.

Responsible publisher: caschw LLC

Effective:

Feelory is designed to keep reflection personal. We do not collect your journal entries, feeling tags, Health data, or usage analytics. Feelory does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.

Your data and how Feelory uses it

Your journal entries and drafts, feeling tags, quick check-ins, practice progress, and settings are stored on your device so Feelory can provide journaling, practice, reminders, and insights. There is no Feelory account or developer-operated journal server.

If you enable iCloud sync, supported app data syncs through your Apple Account’s private iCloud database to your devices. We do not have access to that private database. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy policy.

Optional AI features use Apple Intelligence on your device. Feelory does not send your writing to a remote AI service. Accepted AI feeling tags are saved with your entry, including their AI source and confidence information.

If you enable Apple Health logging, Feelory writes a State of Mind sample for the primary feeling when you finish an eligible journal entry, using its pleasantness, intensity, and matching Health labels. It does not read Health data or write your journal text to Health. Autosaved drafts are not sent to Health.

Reflection reminders use notifications. App lock uses your device’s authentication system; Feelory does not collect your biometric information. You can choose not to enable these features.

Retention and deletion

Feelory keeps saved reflections, unfinished drafts, check-ins, practice progress, and settings until you remove or replace them using the available app or device controls. There is no automatic expiry of saved reflections.

You can delete a journal entry from its menu or detail screen. Its feeling tags are also deleted; a brief Undo option lets you restore it immediately afterward. With iCloud sync enabled, saved deletions sync to other connected devices when sync succeeds. Keep sync enabled until the deletion has reached your devices; offline devices may continue to show older copies until they sync.

Turning off iCloud sync is not a deletion request: it does not erase your local data or previously synced iCloud data. Turn off Sync with iCloud in Feelory’s Settings and restart the app to stop that installation syncing. Other devices have their own sync setting. To manage previously stored iCloud data, use Apple’s iCloud storage controls where available. We cannot access or delete your private iCloud database on your behalf.

Deleting a journal entry, turning off Health logging, or removing Feelory does not delete State of Mind samples already written to Apple Health. Review or delete those samples separately in the Health app. Their storage and any Health sync or backup are controlled by your Apple settings.

When you export a backup or PDF, you choose where it goes. Anyone with access to that exported file may be able to read it, so store and share it carefully. Deleting data in Feelory does not remove exported files or copies held by their recipients. Delete those separately at their destinations. Device backups may also retain earlier app data according to your Apple backup settings; restoring an earlier backup can restore previously deleted data.

Feelory does not have an in-app erase-all control. Deleting an individual journal entry does not also clear check-ins, practice progress, or settings.

Your choices and permissions

Optional features are not required for core journaling or exploring feelings:

  • Stop iCloud sync using the toggle and restart described above.
  • Turn off Log primary feeling in Feelory’s Settings to stop new Health writes. You can also revoke Feelory’s Health write permission in Apple Health or system Settings.
  • Turn off On-device AI suggestions in Feelory’s Settings and choose not to use optional AI tools. Turning off suggestions does not remove previously saved AI tags; you can edit or remove those tags from their entries.
  • Turn off reflection reminders in Feelory or revoke notification permission in system Settings.
  • Turn off app lock in Feelory’s Settings if you no longer want it.

Changing a permission or preference stops the corresponding future activity; it does not automatically erase previously saved data.
